Brief History
1993 – CERN officially puts the World Wide Web in the public domain. The Mosaic web browser, created at the National Center for Supercomputing at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, is the first web browser to display images next to text, letting users easily navigate between web pages.
1995 – The consumer web takes shape as the digital land grab begins. Amazon, Yahoo, and eBay launch.
1996 – The web became available in Nigeria in
1997 – Internet Solutions Nigeria was registered
1998 – Full internet access in Nigeria • Netscape releases the source code of its browser suite, creating the Mozilla project and inspiring the open-source software movement. Later that year, Google is founded, innovating the business of search and clicks.
ISN’s journey commenced as a Dial-Up Internet Service Provider then moved to the wireless radio sector and provided wireless links via ISM frequencies.
Early 2000, ISN launched its VSAT service platform and made substantial steps towards offering a premium service across the satellite space segments, technology, bandwidth, manpower and infrastructure. ISN pioneered the KU band and C band Satellite Internet services providing Internet and Intranet services to various users in Nigeria.
The company has an extensive active-customer-base spread over the Federation. Our technical team comprises of trained and experienced Engineers and are headquartered in Lagos with branches in Port-Harcourt, Warri, Abuja, and Kano.
